Personal Training

I believe in a holistic approach to health and fitness. We must train our bodies and our minds to reach our goals. While exercise plays a large part, being committed to healthy eating, managing stress and getting enough sleep are huge factors in the equation.

 

I train the whole person, not just the muscles and joints. I specialize in individual and buddy training, and use safe, science based workouts to get results. I am not about fads or the latest trends (unless they are proven effective). I am about what works, which is progressive strength and cardiovascular training, interval and metabolic resistance training, setting goals, keeping journals, and learning what to eat (and what NOT to eat)!

 

Group Outdoor Training

 

Studies have shown that exercising outdoors compared to indoors improves mental well-being, increases feelings of revitalisation and energy, and decreases tension, anger and depression. I never cared for running on a treadmill and I'm not sure who does! 

 

My class takes place on a large grass field and every workout is different. I incorporate cardio with weight training and use a circuit style format to keep the heart rate up. I use stability balls, med balls, dumbbells, suspension trainers, bosu, plyo boxes, jump ropes, games and of course your own body weight to mix up the workouts and keep them fun and fresh!
